Couldn't watch her suffer, when she hobbled in on one leg to my feeder. The flock had apparently left her behind. After I recovered her I could see why she was limping so bad. Hated to waste a tag, but I think it was the right thing to do.

So what do you think happened to her leg? I have no idea. It was snapped into though, I could guess but it would only be speculation. All I know is that it was pretty ripe  so it had been that way for a while.

3 years ago I had the same thing with a deer. He came in one morning before light under the feeder limping bad but couldn’t really see. Well the next afternoon he came in and instead to shooting a nice 7 point cull we opted to take the one with the bad leg out, you could tell he was not in good shape.
