I was happy with them and wound up buying 5 of them 2 years ago. Was happy enough with them to recomend them here. Fast forward to present. I now have 5 cameras in my truck that have not taken a picture in the field this year 3 eat batteries like crazy, and none are triggering to take a picture. I will be calling bushnell tomorrow
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

I bought one a couple of years ago and have absolutely loved it. Batteries last forever, unless you have it on 30 second video mode, and it takes quality pictures. I liked it so much I bought 3 more of them and they have worked great half of last season and so far all this year starting in February. I think I a going to by more now to replace my crappy moultries that really do eat batteries.
TrophyCam = batteries last minimum of 6 months on picture mode (about a month on video mode)
Moultries IR-60 = 2 weeks on picture mode, about 4 weeks if you buy their $75 solar battery pack.

Was running 50 of them for a while. When I first got them that ate a ton of batteries without taking pics. I contacted busnell and they told me to only use Sandisk cards in them. Once I did that they have worked with out problems. I use one at my deer lease aswell and it works great.

In my experience, inexpensive cameras eat batteries like cookies and milk! I bought the Stealth Cam 2 pack for $80 and I have to buy new batteries every 2-3 weeks. Decent picks though. My cheapo WildGame is still kicking after 3 years and doing great. I also use it and its Flash in the field at night over a corn pile so I can be alerted in camp if some hogs are out there.

They will still take pictures after that, but only if there is a ton of action in front them for a long period of time. I have one Bushnell trophy cam and I changed the batteries after 2 months, only because I wasn't sure if the battery indicator showing ~50% was correct or not. Over the summer I was getting around 2,500-3,000 pictures a month with it. I've been very pleased so far. How well it holds up after being in the field for a while, is yet to be determined.

In the moultries I have tried every battery known to man, the most any of them will last is 3 weeks.
The trophy cam I use 8 AA batteries, usually the Lithium Ion, and they lasted me 20,000 pictures I would guess before I turned it over to video mode. On video mode, the two I used lasted about a month and died with the original batteries, after taking 1,000's of pictures.
I recently installed different levels of batteries in the 4 trophy cams to see if the more expensive ones make a difference. I set all the cameras with the same settings, so we will see how many pictures each one takes with the different batteries.

I think with any of the less expensive camera's the reliability is hit or miss.

great daytime photos, really really long trigger range, crappy night time photos.... X2 + the battery life is outstanding. That in itself has been worth the switch for me. I need to try one of those M80s though. I heard less battery life but better night pics from quite a few people.

I have been running a 8GB card in mine. I can get thousands of pics in a weeks time and it will hold about 5-6000 pics with the setting at 5mp on the camera.

Had my triphy cam for 2 years now. No problems at all. Only chanfed the lithium batteries once. Probably gone through 10000 pics at least. Great daytime pics. Night time can be blurry when the animal is moving at all but ill take that over the horrible battery life ive experienced with every other camera

I bought a Remington trail cam last year and the pictures are crappy and not very clear. Our older Cuddeback takes excellent pictures. Not sure how often battery has to be changed since that is my husband's department, but it seems like he said every 3 weeks.
