I saw a WT deer subspecies territory mape once, but could not find it again to confirm. I'm thinking that northern panhandle WT deer are part of the Kansas whitetail sub-species,Odocoileus virginianus macrourus.

Thanks everyone. Yes it is a North Texas Panhandle buck. But I don't have a scale so not sure what he weighed.

Nice panhandle buck for sure but the smile on your little girls face is even better. Doesn't get any better than hunting with the younguns. My 10 year old grandson killed his first deer when he was 6 and he's ate up with the hunting bug. Spending time with him in the stand makes all of the work and money worth it.

Great buck. Congrats to you, and your baby girl!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Completely adorable "lucky charm" you got there! What a great smile! Love it! Reminds me of the past when me and my daughters were "in the field". Great for the both of you!
