Well Decided to do some mid week hunt to cull out some of the deer herd. Wednesday evening didn't go well deer weren't on the same clock. so i hoped to catch them in the morning that didn't happen either. scratching my head to figure out what's going on and if i was going to take the risk and hunt thursday afternoon because i was suppose to start raining at four. so i needed to move a stand to a different area where the deer were moving and a place that should give me good wind position. Well the first tree was a good one but it wasn't going to work with the stand to much lean in the stand made me feel like i was going to fall out of it so opted to change trees after 45min's of work. I found another tree about ten yards away but it didn't give me a shot over a ticket edge the deer were using to enter the field to my right. but i did have a nice shot into a transitional area. after about 2 hours of moving things around a sweating my but off i had a good stand set up. I figured it was late and there was no time to get ready to hunt to find it was only 3pm. so since i didn't see any rain i said the hell with it and set out the doe decoy and put on my hunting gear.

I figured i wouldn't get to see much since my scent was all over the place. I had my decoy set at 20yards. after about an hour an a half of off and on rattling and calling a cull buck come rushing in checking out the decoy the bad the was the wind didn't change and was blowing over my right shoulder right to the decoy but he came right towards me. To check out the back of the decoy 10yards from my stand. so i let him have it. I smoked him with a NAP Spitfire Maxx 100g. double lunged him and maybe some thing else. punched right though him upper rib cage and out the back of the front leg. it took him 20sec. go end over end and exp.and he went 50 yards if that. It's only 5pm. Rain starts showing up at 7pm.

here he is

He's not a monster but the 2nd buck i've taken with a bow. he's 2.5yrs old and needed to be pulled out of the gen pool. i've got some good 2.5yr old bucks that already meet the AR or are real close.
