I voted "fair" because I wanted to see the results, with it being a dry year it seemed like I heard of lots more birds, and lots more late birds, so those of you that got after it looked busy.

Now, the reason I voted "fair" was because I shot 2 less birds than last year: last year I shot 2, this year I shot 0 laugh

Surprisingly, it was much better than I anticipated. We had a very good hunt opening day in Ellis County. We hunted there for about a week following, with good results and then I moved to some fields close to home where I shot limits for two or three weeks before they moved on.

Out of 88 hunters 12 were un successful in getting a limit. The season is not over for us down South, but this year has been my best dove season in 10 years.

The places I hunted in Central Texas were really good, but West Texas sucked wind. Exactly opposite of what I normally see.

I should have come and dove hunted with you guys this year, but after sinking money into a duck lease, was too broke! I never dove hunted this year.

We will have plenty of ducks too! I hope you spent your money on a duck lease in Eagle Lake or Garwood?

I voted good. I dove hunted like 4 times before teal started and then none after. Two limits and a couple decent around half a limit hunts. The hunts seemed better than last year. My teal season was good as well. Ready for big duck...my head is already in the game.

Despite the lack of crops we had excellent dove hunts NW of Abilene this year. Our place was one of the few places around us that had water. Lucky to have a few small water wells.

Hunted up near Hart, Texas this season four of five times. Best hunting I've experienced in several years. Of course we had some water nearby and that helped.

Never came close to limiting and I nearly always limit with a decent amount of birds. Not trying to brag, just the facts grin Worst season in a long time.

I voted fair. Never got a limit this year. However, after being away from dove hunting for 15 years, I was just happy to be back in the field.

Hit my limit in 2 days in Erath County a month ago. Same spot, in an acre break in the middle of a lot of trees next to the Bosque River. Most of them were in the morning around 10am. Had a blast!

We have more down at our place right now, but I wont be able to hunt until the next season.... South zone sucked at beginning of the season, but is turning out to be pretty good.

I rated it fair though...

I shot more dove this year in a while. I wasn't limits every single time but the hunting was good and consistent all season. From Brookshire to EL to Fayetteville I really enjoyed this season. I’m going to try it one more time down in East Barnyard this afternoon.

It was different this year though. Properties that were lights out last year were dead and vice versa.

I hunted south of Dallas and it was the worst year that I have probably ever had! Nothing was ever flying, morning or night. Maybe they will be there in the late season.

Texas is better.
