Well, we added 4 new deer feed pens and 2 cameras on each. We are lucky we added 2 cameras each or we might have been disappointed. Instead, we were shocked. 9500+ photos.. LOTS of coons playing at night, a little daylight and wind, but.. you be the judge: 230 acres.. 4 feed pens... We were looking through a bunch of photos and we were having fun seeing turkey in all 4 pens.. so, tell me how many turkeys you see in the photo of these turkeys: We were not sure how many.. we we were hoping to get a better shot on the next image..... It must be a popular feed spot. I picked it out 3-4 weeks ago and we actually added the only feeder that was not already chosen on the ranch, but I thought it was a good spot for one... We also have deer, they like to share.. This one was just cool.... I just saw the 2nd one in here... What none of the pics show are the new carpet tack strips (3 per leg) I added to every feeder yesterday. The coons should get a fun surprise tonight! More pics of actual DEER later! Russ

thanks all. Yes, it is south of Rocksprings.
We recently added 4 new feed pens and 2 of them with water tanks.. not that they need it anymore with all this rain.. heh, but it sure is nice to see that we have deer and other stuff to hunt. I had never seen an Aoudad, and then saw one a few weeks back on someone else's ranch and was like, "Man.. I hope we get to see one on our ranch". Then I see that pic and was like, "we hit the motherload!" lol
I also have a lot of hogs, but have not uploaded all the pics yet, and saw a couple REALLY nice Axis at nighttime.
All the best pics were taken on cameras other than the main feed cameras that depict the different incoming angles.
I am curious if the 50" panels were too tall for the animals. May have to look at cutting them down a little.

R Be careful what you ask for with regards to Aoudad! I hunt in that area and they can be pretty destructive. I also set up pens with fence that I thought was too high. Though the deer didn't have much trouble getting over it, I lowered the fence by cutting it in an area that is more beneficial for me hunting the pens. In one spot, the fence was up against some woods at the edge of a clearing and the animals would enter from the woods side, denying me a chance to see them before they got in the pen. I cut about 4 linear feet of the top of the fence down about 18" on the opposite, non-woodsy side (leaving the fence about 3' high)and now the deer walk out in the open to get in from the slightly lower side. I bet this method would be more effective for you since your fence is so high.
