here are some pictures of my old 3006 turned into a new 300 win mag.
I bought this 1903 last year. I the first Pic I have already Drilled and taped the bases.
Here is the list of features
Drill and tap for Scope, RE-barrel, re-chamber to 300 win Mag, opened blot face, bent bolt to clear scope, Timmy Trigger, Holland Muzzle brake, Laminate thumb hole stock, Bedded the Action and free floated the barrel. And i and sure there were many other things I can't remember. I had the help of a local gunsmith that was teaching me how to do some of the work. It needs to be re-blued and it will be finished. This has been a lot of fun. What to do next?????

I put a Beuhler low rise safety on mine. Much more convenient than the military safety. Lee Koning in Forney installed mine and also matte blued it.
