Anybody have any bird reports for the Pierre, SD area? Specifically West of Pierre. We did well on grouse and pheasants last year in that area.

Ask me after Nov 4
There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

MSP24 you should go hunt. SD is cheaper than people expect if you freelance hunt. I have hunted there for several years and have paid a few farmers for daily access but usually find several places to hunt without paying by knocking on doors. Everything included I have never spent more than$900.00 for a week of bird hunting.

I talked to our farmer up there and he said they have great cover this year and there are a "good" number of birds. This is in the Pierre Area. They had timely spring rains and good summer weather for the grasses.
