May need to go to a #4 buck shot. BB size shot is pretty hard to find except for steel. Hevishot would be another option, but could be more expensive. Here's a link to their various loads.

Hevi-Shot also makes a BB load for geese in 3"-3 1/2" both I believe, that might be a good choice.

There is nothing in the world wrong with good old 3" #4Buck though either.

Thank you gents, one other question for you. Do you need a special barrel and choke tube to shoot steel loads? Can my 870 handle them with ?

Actually I'm not sure about the barrel as I've never shot steel. The choke has to be rated for steel however, this I do know. You're not planning on launching steel at coyotes are you? No Bueno.
