Every year same time and same place.

instead of taking I-20, go to Mineral Wells then Brenckenridge to Albany to Anson, like that...depending on how far u have to to(thats what we do during the holidays to avoid that mess all together)

My 89 year old father kept telling me I should cut across to the feeder road. I told him "no". I've seen it too many times. The feeder road was doing great until the traffic backed up at 281. I just waved as I went by the guys that were next to me when it started backing up. Then, when the feeder took a curve to the north at the Brazos River, I reminded Pop that getting off would not have been a good idea.

On the way home, a guy in a van was running people off the road so that he could get in front of them at the start of the construction, then he took the exit along with a bunch of other people, before everyone is forced back on eastbound 20 at the river. For some strange reason I just couldn't any room to let anyone in. If the people wouldn't get off to get on the feeder there wouldn't be the backup on the highway because people wouldn't have to stop to let them back in line. Sorry, "read the yeild sign" is all I have to say to those guys.

I was also stuck in that mess Friday. I saw a fender bender in the East bound lane West of Weatherford. I used the access road, but it was still real slow. Went 3 miles in 40 minutes. What a mess.

Well i left my wife drive while I was messing around on the internet and the back-up was sooner than I am use to. I have lived and died by using the service roads. As a matter of fact I typical will exit and use the north service road almost everytime. I guess people like to look off the bridge to the brazos. Just frustrating. We ended up trying to count how many hunters we heading out. Just something to pass time with the boys,

we are all here cause we aint all there!
