Must be something wrong with it. Mine don't do that.

Maybe I don't have the problem because I use a solar panel and feeder battery so it always stays charged.

like I said in first post three work great . just the one that kept shutting off . ive had stealth cams and wildviews and one p41 homebrew that got stolen ( best cam I ever owned ) the bad thing I think with the primo 46 cam is the deleay settings. there is no 5 or 10 minut delay , it goes from 1 minut to 30 minut nuthing inbetween

X2 on the delay, everything else I like about them so far.

I sent mine back as well. I bought it 12/30/10 at Academy and registered it the day before I contacted them on 3/30, lost the receipt. Emailed Customer Service about the problem of turning off. They gave me a return number said send it back, no questions asked. Got a brand new one back via UPS today.

Great Customer Service from Primos! up

I don't really have a problem with the one minute delay. The 4GB card holds 2830 pictures at 5.0MP resolution. More than enough for me to check it once a month during non-season. If that isn't enough it will take up to a 8GB card.

Good Hunting,
Gary

FWIW - I called Primos about using a solar charger with the cameras and they told me that you could plug one directly into the 6V port next to the SD card slot and, if you're using rechargable D cells in the camera, the solar panel will recharge them without having to use a feeder battery. I've been using one this way for about 8 months now without a problem.

I like these cameras pretty well, especially for the price point. The shutter speed could be better at nighttime (motion gets blurry), but they give me what I need, which is basic pictures of what's going on when I'm not there and the ease of setup and use is nice.
