I know this has been discussed before, likely in great detail. However, I recently found out that Kansas opens a week long season from jan. 22-30 after their season closing on Jan. 3rd. If our season can't run any longer due to pair bonds, why is that ok to do so late in the year?

Yes it is, until next week. I understand that there are two different organiazations that make two different decisions in that case but I don't see how re-opening a season for a week later in the year can be justified.

I feel like the majority of the birds are just now getting down south now. The last couple hunts I had I saw a lot of new ducks in the area. The pounds are covered up in ducks now that the season is over.

I got a woodie! Whoo Hoo

Texas closes a week ahead of most other southern states so the states Snow goose e-callers can bust some snows before they head back north.

HAVING LIVED IN TEXAS ALL MY LIFE I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY WE DON'T START DUCK SEASON NOVEMBER 25th AND RUN THROUGH THE END OF JANUARY OR FIRST WEEK OF FEBRUARY.
