Got a question for you more qualified taxidermists. I have a friend who wants me to use a hide from another deer to replace the badly scarred up hide from a nice 9 PT. his son killed. However, there is an 1" difference in the size of the pedicel (the replacement hide being smaller). Would the replacement hide be able to strecth enough around the pedicel of the bigger pedicel and still look right? If not, does anyone have south Texas or southwest Texas hide that they are willing to sell? I want to do a nice job, but am just afraid there is too much difference to make it look right.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,
Call Tim @ The Wildlife Gallery 830-864-4422.
I think if you send it to him and have it DRY taned you will get the strecth you are try for.
Ask Tim and I think he will agree.

If you have any questions give me a call.
