All I know is my Rem 700 270 and Winchester 70 300 win mag will put the first shot where I want it. After that I sit the gun down and wait 30 minutes. No second shoot is ever needed.

Some of it? So you are now saying that some of what you are saying is not true? Building credibility I see...

First I never claimed to be a gunsmith. I am just a student of the trade and am smart enough to know I have a lot to learn, will often times be wrong/make mistakes, and I will NEVER know everything; always learning. A lot of "gunsmiths" out there have less ability than I. Sad...

At the end of the day the Rem 700 has a large and loyal following, is widely accepted by bench/target shooters, has a lot of aftermarket crap, time proven, hold value, etc...
This is why they can ask for a higher price than Howa, while cheapening production. You can't deny that.

Heres a Howa I am in the process of whittling out a stock for. Almost finished. The barrel is a Shilen #4 contour I threaded, chambered, and cut/crown at 24". The stock is also pillar/glass bedded. Barrel free-floated. All the metal except for the bottom metal will be belgian rust blued in a few weeks. If only it was a Mauser action!

mk v comes wit a 1 1/2 accuracy guarantee for 1600.00 plus, vanguard sub moa comes with a .99 or better for 900.00
which is better
the mkv can handle the big boys though ill give you that
