I can see CHC's response now..."Well the head looks to be a little too big, and the back leg is a little low to the ground. I'm not convinced."

Lets see, the first thing that comes to mind is the word "POSSIBLE", notice, it is not PROBABLE, nor is it CONFIRMED.

Also, to refresh everyones little memory, IT HAS TO BE A BLACK MOUNTAIN LION, not a Black Leopard or a Black Jaguar, or even a Black African Lion, or a Black Tiger.

From the angle the picture in the story was taken, you can not see the tail, but you can see what appears to be an ear. In this picture it appears to be a very large ear at that.

Right offhand, the only large cats that I know of with that large or prominent an ear is a tiger.

Also, due to the angle and lack of clarity, it could be the arse end of a small black bear. Their ears stick out like that.

Nice try kids!

Now lets just look at this for a second, and read the story.

Quote:

I knew by the size that it was not a house cat. It wasn't a tiny dog.

Now why would they say tiny dog?

Quote:

She said she saw the animal in the field behind her house on Saturday and quickly snapped a picture of it.

Quote:

Authorities, however, have not spotted the mysterious visitor.

Quote:

A conservation officer from the Division of Fish and Wildlife visited the area three times over the weekend and found nothing to indicate a panther was in the area, said Darlene Yuhas, a spokeswoman for the state's Department of Environmental Protection.

Quote:

There was absolutely no evidence to indicate that there was a panther out there," Yuhas said

Lets not knee jerk so fast, all we have is a picture of what seems to look like a black feline of some type with no way to determine size or length.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Lets see, the first thing that comes to mind IS I LOVE BIG ORN SO MUCH. SETHFISH TOLD ME THAT THE POSSIBLILITY OF LARGE BLACK CATS is "POSSIBLE", notice, it is not PROBABLE, nor is it CONFIRMED, ORN I'M SO SCARED RIGHT NOW.

Also, to refresh MY little memory, IT HAS TO BE A HYBRID OF A BLACK MOUNTAIN LION, a Black Leopard, a Black Jaguar, a Black African Lion, AND a Black Tiger.

From the angle the picture in the story was taken, you can see the tail, you can see what appears to be an ear. In this picture it appears to be a very large HYBRID OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED LARGE BLACK CATS I LISTED EARLIER at that.

Right offhand I MUST PROCLAIM THAT SETHFISH IS SO AWESOME , the only large cats that I know of with that large or prominent an ear is a BLACK tiger HYBRID JUST LIKE THE ONE IN THE PICTURE WHICH IS COMMON AROUND THE AZLE AREA .

Also, ORN YOU HAVEN'T RESPONDED TO ANY OF MY LETTERS, PM'S, PHONE CALLS, PIGEONS, TELEGRAPHS, EMAILS, SMOKE SIGNALS, OR TOMATO CAN MORSE CODE, YOU ARE ACTING LIKE the arse end of a small black bear ORN! .

But, there was no evidence that there wasn't....

(1) The subtle tapering of the squared jaw from the ear to the mouth suggests a feline.
(2) The obviously higher hip than front shoulders prove it also.
(3) There's the picture, Virgil...
