OK, the fence line thread had a good laugh and helped pass the time!!!!!

It is Friday, fixing to get off, clothes are washed, bow is in the truck, truck is full of gas, motel room baught and paid for, everything on go!!!

Who is going to be able to sleep tonight??????

I will... 6 hrs on the road looking at headlights and unloading what appears to be half a house. I will be ready to hit the hay when that time comes around 12-1am.

I unfortunately get to miss the bow opener to go help my girlfriend find a car for her daughter. Going to try and get out Sunday afternoon and hunt till Tue. Good luck guys.

I got all kinds of stuff going on this weekend. But that is OK. On MONDAY I will hunt when the rest of ya are working!

I will as long as some drunk doesnt wreck out or something isnt burning up. I have a guy coming in a 5am to cover for me so I can get out to the stand and hopefully stick the big one!

I cant hardly wait to leave the office so I can get my crap together. Got a three minute drive to the lease in the am!

Hotel room? I'm like the OP-gassed up, bow sighted in, fresh Rage 2 blades, but I'm sleeping with the deer (camping!) all weekend. I'll be laying wide awake by an open fire tonight in anticipation of the morning.. We'll see how it goes tomorrow!

I have a fire test at 9am. Man thats hard decision I havent missed opening day in over 15 years. Im gonna bomb that test knowing someone is gonna be sitting in my stand that I got pics of some nice bucks at.

Uncle Sam requires one weekend a month and unfortunately this weekend is it. Killing me.

Thank you but I don't deserve it, there are guys fighting for there life every day so a few days a year is minuscule to me, but I appreciate your gratitude and I share the same for all my fellow soldiers who are answering the call.

You wouldn't want me out there with a bow and arrow. It could be ugly. So I'll be waiting 'till November. Hope all you bowhunters get that big buck this year.

Slow today on the afternoon hunt - saw lots of doe and had several easy 12-15 yard shots but passed them up hoping to get an opening day buck. Didn't happen.

I'll be out in my stand at 5am. I'll hold out in the morning for a buck but if I get another easy shot on a doe Sunday afternoon I will take the girl.

I am hunting in the Sterling City area. I love this.

I had a good hunt. At 7am, I had three shooter bucks show up at my feeder. Two bucks (Both 8 points jumped into the pen, while the 10 point stayed outside).

Needless to say, by 7:20am I finally got the shot I wanted, and took a large bodied 8 point (The 10 point was smart, kept looking right at me in a ladder stand, after 15 minutes, he wouldn't budge away from his cover brush. The large bodied 8 point looked like he was heavier anyway.).

At 7:35ish, I had to remove a buck tag off my license. (By 9am, I was at the processor and he said I was the FIRST person to bring in a deer).
