Bought a new Mathew's Drenalin today. This is my first Mathew's. It's rigged up with a Vital Gear Kaz-away rest, a Cobra Sidewinder Radiant site, and a Limbsaver gel stabilizer. It has a 27.5 inch cam and a loop on the string. I have it set at 65 lbs. The bow shoots smooth, fast, and quiet.

My other bow is a Fred Bear Instinct. Pretty much same equipment. The big difference is I have to crank my Bear all the way (70 lbs) to get any speed out of it and when I do its pretty noisy. The Drenalin at 65 lbs is pushing the same arrow quit a bit faster and is much, much quieter.

Time will tell in the long run if I made a good decision joining the Mathew's nation.....as far as today....I love the bow.

Cbump--I'm thinking about about buying the instinct. Is it a quiet and smooth bow , I know that questions going to be hard now after shooting the Mathews. I'm on a budget and it doesn't include a mathews at this time. So any help with the Instinct would be of great help

The Instinct is a good bow. The one I have is tuned and is easy to shoot. It was my first bow. It is shorter than my Mathew's by a couple of inches. I do feel a little hand shock compared to my Mathew's and it is not as fast.

If someone is on a budget and wants a solid bow, I think the Instinct is a fine choice. I'm going to sell my Instinct with all access. and an SKB hard case. Let me know if you might be interested.
