What are you fellows using on yourselves to keep ticks off of you. We have been using Off with Deet, but still pick ticks off of us every time we train. I need some Frontline for me. ha-ha Does anyone have a suggestion other than not training. Thanks so much.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

I have the same problem. I always wear long pants and boots when I train, and I try to pay attention to "crawley feelings" on my body and find the tick before they latch on. I'll take a tick over chiggers any day - though. I spray some deep woods off on my skin under my pants to keep those buggers away. So far it's working.

Way to be careful guys. I can't prove it it, but I am convinced that my aching knee and ankle joints as of late have something to do with a tiny tick I found imbedded on my neck. I certainly will be taking more preventive measures from now on. Of course, the other possibility is I am just getting to damned old to be chasing birddogs down brushlines and out thru pastures! Can't quit..got too many dogs and too much equipment to give up this bad habit for another.

Since ya'll seemed to confirm what I thought, I began taking some augmentin (amoxicillin+) that I obtain in Mexico and keep for my dogs. I am feeling much better. Soreness is gone, and I seem to have more energy. NOT Recommending this for anyone else, but it is a valid treatment according to what I can find. Next time I go in for an office visit, I'll ask my doctor to test me.
