I need a rifle sling for my new T/C Pro Hunter. Any suggestions?

Just a word of advice here. I love the Bonnie Packer Safari sling. But mine wouldn't work with my Encore. The sling stud is almost under the scope on my rifle and the sling won't work like it's designed to. It kinda would, but in the carry position the weight of the rifle was putting a lot of pressure on the objective lens of the scope. I didn't like that. This really sucked since I like the Safari sling so much, it's a true hands free sling that is quick to bring into the firing position. Before you might buy one, look at your rifle. If the sling stud is close to or under the scope, it will give you problems. I ended up using the basic old nylon 1" military type sling. It works fine, just like they always do. Although I am considering a few other options. Since I'm forced to use a conventional sling, I'm prolly gonna get one that has a few ammo loops on it.

I would like to have a sling with ammo loops but they are hard to find. Do you have to have one custom made?

I've seen a few of them at Bass Pro in Garland, surely the Houston store would have some too. I think Butler Creek makes the ones I've seen. They have the wider shoulder pad with loops sewed on to it.

But you could always get some elastic at a sewing shop and do it yourself. I've thought about doing that too if I find one I like better, but doesn't have the loops already on it.

This is the one I am running on my Encore and it has 3 loops. I believe I got it from Bass Pro.
