We have been coming up here multiple times per year for years now and never had a problem. Went to dinner tonight and came back to a gal trying to walk off with our cornhole boards and her male counterpart bailing off the back deck. Front keypad on the door at our cabin had been messed with. Sheriff was called and never showed up.

Keep an eye on your stuff up here.

Thanks for the heads up. We closed on our cabin out there this past August, bookings have been crazy out there. We did have a client break one of our handrails in an odd way, luckily the insurance through our management company covered it.

A good cussing works for some THFers.

I would call them till someone showed up. I am 100% pro law enforcement, but that is bull$hit.

Yup. You’d think evidence of an attempted burglary, a solid description, plus catching them in the act committing theft would at least be worth a drive through the area, let alone a report. Kind of disappointing- but it’s Oklahoma after all.

I don’t care about the cornhole boards. Our dogs were kenneled inside - and then getting in here and messing with my dogs pisses me off the most. We spend a lot of money up here and if the sheriff can’t even answer a call it makes me rethink spending that money here. It’s getting too commercialized anyways.

Been going up to that area since the early 80's.
More and more crowded the last 15 + years
as word got around. There's the pot patches,
and meth shacks like any place you can get to
around the metroplex. It's full of partiers and
drunks and dopers every weekend, not as many
during the week. I haven't been in a while. If I
want to hear radios blasting and have to watch
my goods like a hawk, I can stay right here.

It's pretty much like a lot of deer leases are now.
