lots of damage. storm about to hit Frisco

That doesn't sound good!

One house was destroyed and there was damage to some other property including a baseball field and a water tower. Nothing major. Another tornado ripped through the town of Olfen, that sounds bad, but Olfen consists of a church and a coupe of houses.

Tornado also hit San Angelo and Abilene as well.

I'm in Frisco now with my youngest son for soccer tournament. Heavy rain coming through now but that is about it.

We had a tornado come through Dove Creek (20 miles SW of San Angelo) last night also. Several houses damaged. We got lucky and have no damage but we lost electricity about 5:00 am and still don't have any. Hopefully it will come back on soon, I don't want to lose everything in my freezer.

Sent a text to the landowner of my lease in Ballinger he said they were good. The tornado hit the North West side of town and damaged 10 houses.

I put the cars in the garage just in case there's any hail, haven't heard reports of any though.

They had a hole poked in to one of the Ballinger water towers.

Little more than a hole. The wTer tower will have to come down.

There was another tornado spotted south of Lowake. That makes a total of 3 in the area, Ballinger, Olfen and Lowake.

Add another tornado near Ballinger, supposed to have been one near Ballinger lake this morning, that makes 4 for the Ballinger area.

Hand one touch down in Angelo this morning, about a mile east of my house. It’s incredible how terrible the local news outlets are out here, they lost power and were doing a fb live feed in the dark. I was searching for news at 5 while it was going on and found the warning to take shelter bc one had touched down right by me, didn’t post it until 12 min after it was gone.

I spent most of today helping out, I’ll try to get the video up here. Pretty decent damage to a few blocks

We left Forney in the middle of that storm. When we reached Terrell, we were in the middle of a tornado warning with a rotation moving NE, same direction we were headed. We pushed on. We drove through the hardest rain I have ever seen, all the way to Mineola. We saw roofs blown off, large tree limbs blowing across the road right in front of us, large old oak tree get hit by lightning, it’s was a fun drive.

The picture above I am guessing is when it was over farmland at its peak sucking up a lot of dirt, looking at damage it appears to have weakened before it hit town or not as strong as I thought?

Not for sure how many, but one of them hit my dad’s old liquor store beer joint between Ballinger and Rowena on 67. Friend of mine at Lowake lost his house and barns.

Update to this thread. Had significant tornado damage from this storm to properties just east of Benoit. Barns and ranch homes destroyed, 50+ year old pecans uprooted, looks like someone took a buzz saw to the mesquites. Amazing power, moved our tractor and ranch truck over a couple feet. Our house is ok but barn is more than likely a loss.
