Is 30-35% net a good guess for bison cow with a live weigh of 800-1000lbs.?
Head, hide, guts, and bones would weigh quite a bit.

We did a Buff cow back in 21'. I dont recall the weight on the hoof but dropped off 204lbs at the processor that was mostly de-boned outside of the ribs.
My dad shot a bull in 20'. Dropped off 362lbs to the processor and picked up 243lbs. No de-boning prior to dropping the bull off

I just shot a 6 year cow that was 1200lbs on the hood. Processed it all myself and got about 550lbs from her. Bulls will yield lass meat as they have massive/heaye heads

Was it weighed prior to field dressing or is that a guesstimate?
I shot a bison bull years ago and it provided ~400lbs. f meat; we had no mean of weighing it in the field, but it had a summer hide

I shot it on a ranch in November. It was weighed in September while it was still alive. No, not a hunt, more of a find it on the ranch, then shoot it before she got spooked, but a lot of delicious meat 🦬
