Another great buck down today! We had to fight the rain and mud a little but Greg was able to connect on an awesome 35” Axis buck!

Hunted with you in 2019 and the "guide" you had helping took my trophy axis to have mounted. I have yet to see my mount and no answers. I finally got to do a bucket list hunt and never received my trophy. Any help would be appreciated. I know it was someone "helping you out" as you got started but somehow this has to be remedied.

Handling a client's trophy as an afterthought and a bother is unprofessional as hell, but, unfortunately common. I've experienced it myself. 'Hope this gets rectified satisfactorily.

I just pmed you with my phone number. Please call me when you can sir. I was unaware of this until just now and i am willing to do whatever it take to get this resolved and get your trophy back to you. This is unacceptable so please call me ASAP and let’s get this thing fixed for you. Thank you

ISSUE RESOLVED, MY MOUNT IS ON IT's WAY RIGHT NOW. PLEASE NOTE IT WAS NOT THE OUTFITTER BUT THE GUIDE HE USED AT THE TIME. THE HUNT AND ACCOMODATIONS WERE JUST FINE.

It was not the owner of the ranch but rather someone that was helping at the time I went. I was hoping the owner would be able to help me get in touch with the gentleman responsible. I was just informed the mount is on it's way to me right now. The outfit does not use this person any longer as it was just a short time to help get things started. I did learn not to leave it in someone else's hands and will transport to my own taxidermist in the future, at least that way I can stay in contact.

It is interesting to see that once brought to sarg56's attention, it was solved within 24 hours. Esnow74, had you contacted the outfitter about this previously previously?

It is a strange and long story with twists and turns. At the end of the day I have 3 stories from 3 different individuals. 1 is OP, 1 is a vendor that I went on the hunt with and one is the person I have been led to believe was the last to see the trophy. I do have an Axis mount in my possession but it is not even close to the caliber of the one I harvested and it looks very old and in poor condition. To add to the story there is a 4th person involved that nobody can seem to get ahold of and the supposed last person to touch my trophy adamantly denies ever seeing it and says he doesn't even know any of the involved parties at the ranch that day. The moral of the story is there are some real scumbags in the world and don't ever trust an outfitter to handle the taxidermy unless they are world class and with their own studios on property. I know most outfitters would never allow this to happen because of how it can negatively impact business especially in the age of social media. I feel my vendor and the ranch owner would not be involved for obvious reasons but the guy that I watched leave with the trophy for the taxidermist does broker hunts and apparently also is a broker fore optic and whitetail sales. The unknown person, well who knows if he is truthful or not. Issue will most likely never be resolved.

Dang, it got worse. Somebody decided to insult your intelligence by pawning off an old mount. Very sorry to hear it. Makes it harder for all outfitters that actually have their $*%^! together.
