Calling Turkeys in the fall - 11/21/18 02:35 PM
Anyone ever tried calling the birds in the fall? I've had success doing it several times now. Most recent was last weekend when a group of almost 20 hens and jakes came to one of my feeders. I pulled up the app on my phone and started yelping and the whole group turned away from the corn and came across a draw right to me! If I hadn't stopped calling I think they would have come into the blind with me. Opening weekend, I had two toms start strutting when I did the same thing, and this is just with the app and the speaker on my phone. I'm not even using a Bluetooth speaker. I'm hoping to use the strategy to show some turkeys a fine thanksgiving dinner this weekend
