Cabela's Turkey Decoys

I purchased 2 turkey decoys from the Cabela's north of Fort Worth last week that I'm having trouble with. They were rolled up and bound very tight during packaging/transportation. I was told by a sales rep. to soak them in hot water in a bathtub for 20 minutes and that they would return to their normal shape. I have done this and can't get them to look right. Has anyone else had trouble with these decoys and does anyone have any tips on getting them completely "unwound"? -thanks

Try a hair dryer on hot, heat them up and get them right, then fold them but not tight. Might take a few tries to get them how you want them.

Use the hair dryer on high heat, but stuff a towel inside it real tight when you're doing it to hold it in the right position. Then let it cool off for a while, take the towel out and it should be ok.

I did one up this weekend…went to the kitchen sink and filled the decoy up with scalding hot water thru the hole at the bottom and she popped right out. Then filled the sink with hot water and let it sit for a few minutes. Then stuck her in the back yard to admire the pose!

Hair dryer works best, unless you can get a nice sunny/warm day and stuff with a towel. I also never roll/fold my turkey decoys during season so there are no creases and dont have to worry about trying to get them in shape while hunting. somewhat inconvenient when walking around, but it gives me re-assurance that they keep their form.
