Coyote Stalk Among the Cattle

Coyote Stalk Among the Cattle - 07/30/18 03:45 AM

Spied this coyote about 250 yards out. Normally, I would prefer to call to the coyote and let it close the distance to make for an easier shot. However, the coyote was in with the cattle and so while calling might have worked, it might have kept the cattle behind it and in line with my shot, so I stalked this coyote, using the coyote for concealment as I went...

Nice. This moon is definitely forcing us to think our stalk through not only staying downwind but not allowing the animals to spot us.

It is interesting how the animals will comingle at times. I have some pics of the hogs and cows at the pigpipe. I had set of pics one time with a coyote laying and waiting for a boar to eat at my pigpipe and the next pic had the yote eating at the pipe. The yotes nibble at my pipe when passing by alot.
