Quick hunt - 11/16/14 06:53 AM
Went out with my buddy Shane yesterday and did a little calling. We saw more bucks than coyotes but we were able to call in we 2 coyotes out of 4 stands.
Weather was perfect, nice cloudy day with high 30 ' s and slight wind out of the south.
Called the first one in with the Vigilante. Second one came in to the young jack distress call and a little coyote talking to him as well.
Like I said, we saw some awesome bucks. One of them was a monster buck. Looked like only an 8 or 10 point but it was freaking wide. I would love to have that dude hanging on the wall.
We ended up getting a nice hog as well right before dark. It was a pretty good size sow. I dropped her with my 5.56 with a shot to the ear. I was using the reaper rest and it made for an easy shot.
Pretty productive hunt for it being a short trip.
Here are a couple of pics.
