Young Yote

Shot last night. My buddy called him in; I initially picked up the dog running with my FLIR, then my buddy found him with his PVS 14 and EoTech. I shot 1st and connected in the lower torso, spun the dog around, and my buddy followed up with a shot to the upper torso; 2 hits. That exit wound was from a 6.8 ballistic tip; I was shooting .300 BLK FMJ.

Good job! I think Im going to start my hunts next weekend. I never seem to have any luck during the summer months for some reason.

The young yotes are curious. I called one up the other night just by making a squeaking sound. 308 destroyed him

Yeah, it was pretty neat to see how fast, and how close (within 15 yards) the dog came to us.
