momma and babies in trap

Caught these 3 last night. I now have 13 of the 14 babies. 7 gilts and 6 boars. Mrs. Hag sure was happy she didn't have to cut one today in the sleet and rain.

She was PISSED!!! She would have loved to take a chunk out of me. She STUNK! She tried to tear up my trap. A few repairs are needed.

You put her in a pen and she'll be fine. Good catch! A lot of guys will kill mama and raise the babies, but I've seen them calm down in a short time.

They calm down really quick if you put them in a pen. I once bought a 100 pounder from a friend who traps. When I first put him in a pen to feed him out I had to put the feed in over the fence (because that boy would get in your business).

In less than a month I could pet him while he was eating.
