I wondered the same thing. I also was out this weekend, bright moon lit night, saw one coon. Plenty sign, but no hogs. I'd like to know myself.

I've thought about that myself, but can't put a pattern to it. I've seen a lot of hogs and no hogs under both moonlit and moonless nights. I think too many other things come into play than just the moon. I did see quite a few hogs on the hunts I had during the recent full moon phase though.
We hunted last weekend and shot 4 hogs.. TYhat 'moon phase" crap is for the birds. Just stay in the stand!

Greetings,
Been hunting 2 or 3 times a week for the last 4 weeks for coyotes and hogs.
Shot 4 coyotes on moonless nights.
Shot 1 coyote and 1 pretty nice boar on full moon nights last week.
I've been laying for the boar for a few weeks by patterning him with sons game cameras and how often he hits the pig pipe.
I was sitting in a tripod stand setup in a small mesquite break by out stock tank.
My son has his feeders on one side of the tank and I have the pig pipe on the other side.
Personally, I think the cooler weather has them coming out sooner in the evening.
