if'n ya put it in the freezer ya better let the ol' lady know before she makes ya supper the following night.....
put it in the freezer for a couple of days, that will kill the fly eggs, then set out and finish to the point of taint you prefer, then give a dusting of borax, refreeze until your ready to use it.

So you use bobcat as bobcat bait?
There are several lure/bait manufacturers that use bobcat as bait and several of them work very well. But any meat that's not to greasy will make a decent to good trap bait. I knew an old gvm't trapper that used javelina and was a pretty good lion and coyote trapper. Location has more to do with it than the bait, but bait does hold their interest.

yes taint the bobcat meat till it is grey on outside pink on inside salt it leave it out over night put it in a canning jar 3/4 way full and fill just above meat with water crack lid every day till it quits producing gas and you got some universal bait add some beaver castor for extra attractant

Very interesting
I have never heard of that. I guess in my head, any meat would work. Just never thought about using one cat to get another.

Wouldn't it be easier to just set out a can of Fancy Feast?
