Quail

Went on one last small hunt this weekend. Saw 6 coveys in about three hours - new kind of where they were pheasant hunting this year. Not ideal quail habitat, but none the less still a fun hunt, good points, and actually got to shoot on some covey rises (beats doing a lot of other things). I hope the next few years are better for quail - need some moisture this spring and summer. I don't want to go to the Mexico border to shoot quail. Fun year - sad this is the last weekend.

Time to grab the fly rods!
