Updated reports

This is the only report I've seen since the early Madadore reports. Anyone else?

They pointed 5 coveys today in a hour and a half walking. I no longer walk.

Why aren’t they riding?

I have not been back to The Panhandle. There are decent sized coveys in west central Kansas, but scenting conditions were terrible the weekend before Thanksgivings. All coveys we saw were bumped by us or the dogs.

I'd say that is outstanding at Matador for this year.

Crane Co still producing 10++ coveys per day

My buddy put up 59 coveys in 3 days in hebbronville. Says its the best its ever been. Going day after xmas to hunt down there w them.

We put up 40 coveys in 2 days on a large ranch south of hebronville. Coveys were anywhere fron 5 birds to 30. All bobwhites. Shot 2 management bucks and got a hog too. Way too much fun

Headed back to Encino area Super Bowl weekend.. They are still doing 15 to 25 covey days...Last weekend was a bust with 60 mph winds as the front made its way thru...We were there Dec 15th... Grass was still thick as a mule lip..Did 15 to 22 covey days and didnt hunt 2 days after 1 pm due to it being in the 90s and rattlebugs laying on the caliche roads!!!.
