Wasn't expecting this......

I just got a call from Ark. telling me my one of my derby dogs took 2nd in the Razorback Classic. Was all ears to hear about her race and bird work. Well the race part didn't surprise me, she sure looks good going but the bird work was a whole other thing. Virgil saw her point some 200 yards to the front and rode to her.

Well here's where it got different. Went to flush and right in front a woodcock flies into the timber but out right over the judges. All in good order. Never seen one pointed in a trial but have read of some and never had a dog of mine point one. Glad they count just like a Bob

Where are those trial grounds? I remember that they once used Camp Robinson.

Yes they still use Camp Robinson. Nice grounds and big (5K birds) pre-release program.

I went to Boys State there.

I use to love to run there. Nice Grounds and trailer hookups for those with living quarter trailers.

Just got back from hunting in Wisconsin. My female pointed one grouse that we didn't get a shot at and woodcock I was able to bag. Very fun time.

What a 2 weeks. Sugar wins in Ark. now Bud gets a win at the SW MO. And just got a call that their daddy (Jayhawk Thunder) won the Kentucky Open SD Championship. Lot of dad in these two pups.
