If you are interested in preserving\restoring quail habitat, enjoy quail hunting, want your kids and grand-kids to have the opportunity to quail hunt, want to hang with other folks that enjoy quail hunting, or just think your bird dogs deserve to be on wild birds, then you should be supporting quail research and habitat restoration!

At the risk of suffering the wrath of the QC folks again, I personally don't care if you support the QC or Quail Forever...as long as you are supporting one of them...or MAYBE BOTH.
> Hunters, as a whole are decreasing... in total numbers, and as a percentage of our population.
> Due to the quail decline, Quail Hunters are declining at a rate much faster than hunters in general.
> Attitudes toward hunting are becoming more polarized.
> Habitat is decreasing at an alarming rate...and much of it is just because landowners don't know any better.
> Federal funds that help hunting, such as the Farm Bill, are at risk.

We need the research that QC is funding. We need the grass roots habitat management efforts, youth programs, and legislative efforts that Quail Forever provides. The important thing is that each and every one of us get off our a55 and do something about it.

If you are not in the DFW area, there are chapters of both organizations all over the state. Do some Googling, find the chapter nearest you, and GET INVOLVED...or at least send them some money. soap

See you in the field.

Agreed. If you love quail hunting why not support both? They both do very different things that are valuable to quail hunters. Pretty stupid if folks have beef because of the organizations they support. Grill that up and eat it. Part with another $50 and support both.
