2 DAYS, 2 SMALL COVEYS, 1 WITH 4 BIRDS, THE OTHER 7, NO SHOTS FIRED.
Did you hunt near Winters? A friend of mine is going out there in a few weeks near there. I am just interested so I can let him know an update of the area.

That's about south of Ballinger
Thanks. My friend is hunting a place West of Winters next week. I will send out an update from him when I get it.

The lease I'm on is south of the Colorado it's the border of part of our lease in Ballinger. We have had good numbers of quail the last couple of years. The last hunt a couple of weeks ago I busted one covey that had at least 13 birds in it. The land owner won't let us hunt them though.

I drove through Runnels County this week still looks like plenty of cover & feed is around for the birds. They just need a good snow or rain in a bad way.
