Needing a pheasant hunt near DFW

My father Inlaw wants to work his pheasant dog. Anyone offer a hunt of this nature close to dfw?

What, exactly is a pheasant dog?

A dog that won't hold point.

I'm not aware of any wild pheasants in Texas except for out west. You can probably find planted birds--I think shooter Walter is there and there is a put and point operation out by Columbus.
