Rain..... - 10/10/11 07:42 PM

Has everyone become gun shy about talking about the rain or what.
I have heard of some large amounts of rain in some areas. I have heard that Colman got over 5". Anyone verify that?

I was at the lease this weekend. We are south of OH Ivie and got a little over 5". From the radar, I wouldn't be surprised if Coleman didn't get just as much. Reports to our North were around 7".

The best lease I was ever on was just south of Ivie, 3 miles north of Millereview. Where is your lease?

If you head North out of Millersview, take the first road to the left.

I was at a friends ranch north of Graham this weekend and he had a rain gauge and it was just a tad under 7 inches and still raining when I first got there and rained for another 45 minutes.

I live beside what's left of the Medina River above the lake. I've gotten a total of 7ins. of rain in the last 14mos. Three in. were two weeks ago, and the rest came in 10ths ect. over a
yr. The deer coming up in my horse trap are looking better but
have cleaned out the acorns. I hunt in Fowlerton, So of Pleasanton about 40mis. and there is little cover, no seed or
grass...Deer and quail are on feeders and are just surviving....
No 2nd or 3rd hatch....Horns may be outstanding thought as the
weather causes the bucks to eat stuff they don't normally eat..
It don't rain here no more...............Dirt
