Spoonie Sushi

I've been holdin on to this one for a while. It was after the opener this year and I took my son, 10, and my father in law with me, which means we weren't the early birds. We had to settle for plan C on a public lake and I ended up with a limit of spoonies and teal.

After the hunt I was cleaning the ducks. I always open them up to get to the gizzard - best big blue cat bait there is IMO. My father in law grabbed the heart out of a GWT and ATE IT! He's a crazy arsed cajun and prides himself in eating anything. I got the camera and dared him to do it again. Well, I got it on video.





The kicker is that he went inside the house and gave his wife a big kiss afterward - then told her about it.

I'm thinking he's a sure in for Spoon Platoon honorary member...

the best part is when he says "duck commander aint got nothin on me" that's an awsome qoute.

I'v got a VHS of my brothers inlaws having a moose eye ball eating contest in the moose camp in Alaska. Between the cajuns and the alaskins I just don't know. I guess I can't say too much I used to eat minners all the time.

One of my pledge brothers at a raw calf ball when we were at Tech. I was going to call it a calf fry...but that would be a fried calf ball I guess.

Ya the moose eyes are freshly removed from the moose (not cooked), half the people watching it vacate the room while they are removing the eyes from the scull, then half that remain to see them eat it and the other half thinks it's the coolest/nastiest thing ever!!!

I ate several raw kalf fries! I'm assuming you were a wussy Phi-Delt since you didn't eat any!!!!

Eating the raw nuts wasn't near as bad as my pledge brother having to chew to scrotum like a chaw of Levi. The little Phi Delts only had to eat them if they wanted to. The KA's were having a man breakfast. That was really not that bad compared to some of the other stuff that we had to eat.

What year did you graduate?

I didn't, I came home and transferred to SMU. I got tired of that scene, built houses for 8 years, now I'm finishing up at UTD. I graduate in May.
