Let’s See Your Duck Boat!!!

I don’t have a boat, but I would like to see yours!!! Actually, I’m saving for one, so I need to learn about them!! I’m really torn, because I also want to be able to use it for fishing too. I hear good fishing boats don’t make good duck boats, maybe I’ll find a boat that I can do both. My wife is really getting on my nerves too, because she like wants a boat to take the whole family out in. I told her this boat thing is my idea, so stay out! I told her maybe a family boat will be our next boat. Anyway, I still got to work on here, maybe I can find a boat to serve all 3 of my needs (duck, fish, take the family out).

So anyway, let’s see your boat! What do you like about it? What do you not like about it? Do you fish out of it? Also, if you don’t mind sharing, if you sold it, how much you think you could get for it? I’m just wondering how much $$$ I got spend for various rig options.

Guy if you cant over come the family thing get a good fishing and family boat use the heck out of it during spring and summer. When duck season rolls around I have seen many boats beached or parked in the general area of where they wanted to hunt, they just didnt hunt out of there white and gold 21 foot Ranger. Duck hunting is a shollow water thing for the most part, the boat will get you where you need to go then a little leg work and your done. Just another way to look at your situation.

That was like 12 years ago. They don't let you keep your duck boats at the Assisted Living place, not enough parking.

Mine is slightly different with a 25 hp Merc four stroke..

Guy, use the situation to your advantage. Big and wide enough to accommodate the family with a shallow draft, rigged with a short shaft and a trolling motor, will carry lots of gear to the marsh. And double as a fishing boat gives you double motivation to equip it with top notch electronics. I could justify a pretty sweet rig with those parameters.
