Just left the farm to check my water levels and turn my well off. And ducks are already down and I’m sure way more are coming. Great sign!!!!!

I got back from Aransas Pass on Wednesday and there were already quite a few birds down there....and not teal. I was surprised.

Saw malicote farms in northeast Texas posting quite a few birds yesterday.
Timing was great for this weather. Night and day difference from a year ago.

Calm it down Stinkey. You don't want to blow your wad before the opener.

The tank I hunt is loaded up with gadwall, redheads, a few widgeon and teal. Some spoonies yesterday. Things looking promising! Hoping some green shows up.
What area are you hunting?
Headed down to the coast for the opener and would love to hear what people are seeing.
Go Rangers!

Been seeing teal, spoons and pintails on the coast. I haven't been out since this front hit, but I'm sure the ducks are thick now, and it should be a shoot em up Saturday morning.

We were frozen all weekend, birds should be headed South in numbers now..
Had lots of puddle ducks around before we froze up.
Good luck !!

Had about 200 ducks on my place. (5 acres) Mostly Gadwall and Teal, but a handful of Mallards mixed in. Im pretty sure they will swap out for divers by opening day knowing my luck!

Hey, at least you've got water. You could have spent well north of 6 figures on a developing a wetland in a historical drought to watch it sit dry all season.
saw some big ducks for the first time yesterday to add to the woodducks that stay around.

Divers'll eat. You can make sausage out of old boot leather if need be. But honestly, I'd prefer greenheads and pintails as well.
