Spring plumage - 05/20/22 04:34 PM

Took a few pics of some cinnamon teal out in a hay field irrigation ditch.
As the water comes up we should get more species showing up on our plains.

Post up some spring plumage pics of your resident ducks if you have them.

Bunch of shovelers and pintails in the same area but not close enough to the road for pics.

Its not worth the risk, duck doesn't taste that good. Now if duck tasted like quail, that would be different. smile ani eek2 bolt

For eating no doubt quail would be more tempting

Fully plumed woody or blue wing thought sure would look good on the wall

I north TX we can shoot fully plumed woodies during regular season, but not BWT.
