Low 40’s this morning Haskell county

Was not ready for this. I got 2 t-shirts on, it all I got..

This cold front must have pushed all the birds out. Amazing, saw a ton of birds yesterday and all season really. I figured I would smoke them this morning, I shot 1 bird. I’m sitting in the truck staying warm waiting to see if they start flying, is watch Tara’s head go back and forth looking for birds, poor girl she just drooling for a bird.



I might have to go get my alsups burrito early.

End up with 3 Saturday morning. They started flying a little better after 8:00. I could have probably shot more, but I was freezing, it got down to 39 I was in a t-shirt.

I’m probably done with dove for the season, I got plans next 2 weekend.

Went to deer lease southwest of haskell this past weekend. hoping to see some dove. very slim pickings. didnt even bother to hunt. pretty sad dove season this year. on a better note saw alot of does with twin fawns. all looked very healthy. looking forward to opening weekend.

Last few times, the Allsups guys says "just one?". This time I said give me 2!!
