2021 Dove Season

So what do we think this cold snap does to this coming dove season?

Did the resident birds survive it and did the ones that migrate get out in time?

I'm sure it will be fine but have heard reports of some dead birds

My backyard is full of whitewings but i don't know what they are finding to eat.

There was a die off, but it isn't nearly as big a factor as the upcoming Spring and Summer. If we get decent conditions there won't be any impact on the hatch by Fall.

Isn't it too early to talk about the next dove season?

I’ve got two on the window ledge above my front door. Maybe they did okay.

Helping a buddy frame a shed in town today and the whitewings are definitely okay.
