Looking for a duck hunting boat

Looking for a duck hunting boat - 01/13/21 01:43 PM

I can't post on the classifieds yet as I haven't reached the 100 posts mark so I thought to ask here. I am in the Katy, TX area and looking to expand on my locations I can hunt from. Currently I have been restricted to the walk in blinds on the Somerville lottery that they have every year. I haven't found public lands that allows you to walk in around here but I am open to suggestions.

Looking for a 16' Aluminum boat that me and a few friends can pull out to the water where needed.
Motor is not a requirement.
Leak free is a must!

Are you wanting riveted or welded? Duck boat buy sell trade on Facebook is another good option.

I don't have a preference at this moment. Just something that will float and get me from point A to point B and back again. I want to take my kids on better hunts where we have a chance to scout and find the birds.

If you're planning on dragging/carrying it to the water I would recommend a rivetted boat as is will cut down on weight of the boat a lot.

if motor isnt an issue you could always look into a hull from academy or bass pro

Something to remember.

You say motor not required. I'll assume you'll eventually want to add a motor even if it's just an electric trolling motor.

When you put any motor on a boat it is then required to be registered. If you want it registered you have to have a title. Many people will try and sell and old boat they've got laying around with a bill of sale. That piece of paper isn't worth the ink used to sign it per TP&W.

Good luck

Hey hey hey was just joking about the Sinkey thing but you are talking smack about the Beretta A400. You may as well desecrate the Remington 870 while you are at it. Blasphemy.

Clearly you do not understand the methods of how to troll a waterfowl forum.

But he's got you on the line!
