Make sure you know the difference if your going to hunt them. At least a couple of these birds for sure are not Snipe. Posted on FB from Arkansas. hammer

That's why I've never shot at a shorebird. Not a clue

I do know for sure that the big one laying in the floor of the blind is definitely not a snipe.

That is why I have never pulled the trigger on one.

That looks like a black swan in the the floor? Pretty sure that’s not ok either.

Harder to tell from my phone, but there's a load of dowitchers in those photos, isn't there?

If that looks like a black swan, then you need to look at a few more specklebellies on the floor of a duck blind.

Yeah if that's a black swan you should probably not be skeptical of the snipe those fellas killed.

Yep, there are at least some dowitchers in there. One tip is if your able to shoot a three man limit of Snipe from a pit duck blind, your probably not shooting snipe.

Sniper John, I had a hard time identifying the difference until one of your posts either last year or the year prior. Then recognizing them in the field became pretty easy.

That's was going to be my question. How on earth did they get that many snipe from a pit blind?

I read your post last year on how to identify them, and other documents, I'm still confused. I expect this, along with balancing chemical equations, is something I will never master.
