Anticipation

The anticipation got to me late this afternoon and I decided to make something for myself. I made the toneboard/insert out of ebony because I had some laying around, its very stable, and instruments. The barrel is only your finest Turkish walnut. Damn thing sounds so good as a double I may not order new cork and reeds for setting it up as a single. I drilled the bore smaller than any of my other duck calls, she's quieter and takes less air, holds easily where you want it too.

Still deciding on what to do about the band, color case hardening is one thought. I'll keep wiping Tru-Oil on it over the coming week to shine it up a little and aid in water resistance.
