Hunting boats - 07/17/20 11:53 AM

My crew and I have been talking about the upcoming season. The duck hunting is better in the bay than the back lakes near the cabin build. Its deep water up until about 50 yards from shore. The sand is hard packed and makes for some easy set up and hunting. The pontoon I rebuilt is huge, mostly deck space. We all mentioned the amount of gear and people that boat can carry is amazing. To give you an idea, I put 5000 pounds of concrete bags on it and it was floating. It wasn't floating very well, but floating. So I believe all our hunts this year will be conducted in a ratty arsed pontoon. I took that trailer and had it sandblasted, acid dipped and hit dip galvenized. It was 650 bucks but I think very well worth it.
