Great Time w/ Final Decent - Sandhills

Me and few buddies went to the panhandle for a little sandhill crane hunting with an outfit called Final Decent. Great group that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get on some cranes. Being the end of the season the bird were a little timid coming into the sets but we still managed to put some meat on the ground. Everyone could have easily limited out if we (well they) were better shots

All in all we had a fantastic time and are already making plans to go back in November.

I'll post up some pick of how we prepared it in the recipe section. It was some of the best meat I've ever cooked.

Wolfforth (just south of Lubbock)

This was mine (and my groups) first hunt for sandhill. I really enjoyed the hunt and the meat. So much so that my group has started to look for a secondary lease in that area. With any luck we'll find something that holds mulies and sandhills.
