Wouldn’t hesitate - that’s a good deal and the monte is a solid scattergun

I wish I had the money. It doesn't have the comfortech stock, but an excellent gun. That is a straight steal

The Montefeltro is an awesome shotgun - for that price I wouldn't hesitate. Well, it if was left handed that is.

Wow, great deal. Does it not take 3.5 inch shells though? Still shoot my left handed SBE.

I don't know...looks like the same px as a Franchi Affinity. Wonder how much difference between the two? Supposedly made in same factory.

I bought one a few weeks ago at Academy for 800. Got 10% off the demo gun. I have shot skeet with it a few times and really like it. On the road now headed to the border to see how it does with live targets.

Benelli is where it’s at as far as I’m concerned. Back in 2000 I bought an M1 super 90 in camo and it has been the best shotgun I have ever had. Fits me perfect. It doesn’t hold 3.5’s, but Ive never had a problem knocking geese, and even a turkey once, out of the sky with it. I think I paid just shy of $1100 for it back then. I would jump on this if I were in the market for a solid semi-auto, but...I don’t think I ever will be again.

What is the difference between the Montefeltro and the SBE III?

No comfortech stock and won't shoot 3.5.

Re: Benelli montefeltro deal? - 09/01/19 02:29 AM

It’s been a while since I’ve looked at them but I think these are a few of the differences... the SBE being able to take 3.5” probably being the biggest. The fore end on the sbe is shorter, monte is more narrow and has a longer for end. The newer sbe 2 & 3’s have a different stock that has some kind of rubber in there suppose to reduce recoil, but may just be marketing. I also think the sbe is more monolithic where the barrel is connected to the upper receiver and comes apart in one piece. The Monte is more like the M1,2,& 3’s where the barrel slides into the receiver. I think it’s the same inertia action and bolt lock up though. They are solid guns and this is a heck of a deal!

That price is unreal and kind of annoys me as I paid 1100.00 for my 20ga.

Driving back to Houston from the border now. The birds were flying and the new Monti was a real pleasure to hunt with.
